research study

An evolving collection of drawings exploring the use of line in architecture; here understood as linear elements organised into screens, combs, cages, arrays and thickets. It began with a study of the work of Níall McLaughlin and extended to other architects and artists including Aalto Aalto, Kengo Kuma, Jesús Soto, Sverre Fehn, Peter Zumthor, Rudolf Schwarz and Karl Friedrich Schinkel.
