Three new consulting rooms are created by extending an existing surgery. Organising the extension along one side of a planted walled garden results in a calm, peaceful atmosphere. Daylight and garden views replace artificially lit double loaded corridors whilst material choices create a pleasant healthy environment mindful of infection control too. tempo have worked with several NHS GP surgeries in South East London, optimising their existing buildings to improve access and legibility, utilise space more effectively and add extra consulting rooms.
